As part of its overall future business strategy, Kidsactive wanted to improve upon its current use of IT. Much of the existing IT equipment had been donated and its use in recording information and communication had developed piecemeal. They were seeking guidance from external sources o­n their future IT requirements to improve efficiency and assist in business management and strategy planning.

Compucare Systems Limited (CSL) offered a free consultation to Kidsactive. The consultation was used to discuss their present IT set-up, current issues and concerns relating to their existing system and future projects.

Compucare Systems provided the services of o­ne consultant who visited the Kidsactive offices for approximately half a day, and who then produced a document of recommendations.

Benefits of involvement

Kidsactive now feel that they are able to move forward in their use of IT. The document will also enable them to put together more comprehensive and detailed funding bids for future IT requirements.

Compucare Systems specialise in consulting to small businesses. Their involvement with Kidsactive allowed them to further their knowledge of the ways in which smaller organisations utilise IT, while at the same time generating positive exposure for the company
